Hi, I am Alder Nadon.

I’m a senior mechanical engineering student at Northeastern University from Santa Fe, NM. I chose engineering because I’ve always been fascinated by mechanical systems and wanted a career that pairs rigorous analytical thinking with hands-on problem-solving.

My personal technical projects include a radio-controlled Strandbeest walker, a high-altitude weather balloon payload with active telemetry and onboard imaging, and a Python terrain generator with erosion simulation—as well as a Manim schematic animation produced for a technical pitch presentation. I am currently a Systems Engineering Co-op at BlueHalo (now part of AeroVironment), supporting requirements definition, decomposition, verification, and compliance reporting within an MBSE workflow using Cameo Systems Modeler. I regularly partner with test teams to produce customer‑facing test reports for space‑qualified hardware (flight computers, fast‑steering mirrors/ECUs, optical space telescopes) under a rigorous verification program.

Current Focus

I’m targeting energy and space roles, with a near‑term focus on hands‑on mechanical design to build deep industry experience. I plan to enter industry after my upcoming co‑op, and I’m open to graduate study, particularly if employer-supported, but my near-term focus is industry. Outside engineering, I’m into skiing, tennis, and dirtbiking.
