Hi, I am Alder Nadon.
I’m a senior mechanical engineering student at Northeastern University (3.95 GPA, Dean’s List all four years) from Santa Fe, NM. I chose engineering because I’ve always been fascinated by mechanical systems and wanted a career that pairs math‑and‑science rigor with real‑world impact.
My experience spans team design work (Arduino Laser Arcade Game, a Rube‑Goldberg‑style kinetics toy for Boston Children’s Museum) and personal technical projects like a WebGPU voxel engine and a Python terrain generator. I recently completed a 6‑month co‑op at BlueHalo as a Systems Engineering Intern, supporting requirements definition, decomposition, verification, and compliance reporting within an MBSE workflow using Cameo Systems Modeler. I regularly partnered with test teams to produce customer‑facing test reports for space‑qualified hardware (flight computers, fast‑steering mirrors/ECUs, optical space telescopes) under a rigorous verification program.
Current Focus
I’m targeting energy and space roles, with a near‑term focus on hands‑on mechanical design to build deep industry experience. I plan to enter industry after my second 6‑month co‑op (graduating with 1–1.5 years of full‑time experience), and I’d consider grad school later—especially if employer‑supported. Outside engineering, I’m into skiing, tennis, dirtbiking, and technical building in Minecraft.
